Here are some enlightening files of English text types and how to teach them at the classroom. I collected the files mostly by bartering with some fellow teachers who were attending the ToT of Guru Pemandu MGMP at LPMP Semarang and also, of course, from the Widyaiswara who handled the course.

English Text Types1

I have downloaded some valuable files from The Board of Studies of New South Wales Australia. The files are documents of how teachers apply  the Genre-based approach in English learning in the country. The files give clear understanding of the concept of the approach, the clear teaching steps   and a bulk of examples the text-types.

Although the materials provided in the files are for Elementary School (Grade 1 to 6), I personally think that the files are needed to read by the high school teachers and students, to give a broaden view of the English text types.

I have made some Power Point files I use when I teach on my classes. It is really helpful. You can download these files for free.
